Dog tag frenzy
by admin on Mar.30, 2010, under Great Posts
With all the tags required for dogs, it’s a miracle any of them can walk around with all the bling around their necks. Dog collars and leashes are becoming like key rings loaded with cards, nametags, immunizations and the like. I wonder with all the dog accessories from the practical to the nutty that there isn’t a dog collar that has all that information imprinted on the collar so that dogs can lose the jingle of many tags around their necks. I envision a tasteful collar that has name, address and contact information on the collar and right away we lose one of the jingles around our dogs’ necks. Next, the rabies immunization tag could be combined with licensing fee tags (if your area has those) and dogs can get a break from wearing so many things around their necks attached to their dog collars.

Every day I spend with my parents is a moment I’m fond of but really if I had to pick a moment in time off the top of my head it would have be way back in 1992. It was our first time in England and we were making the most of it. I was pretty small back then so I must have spent most of the day on my dad’s shoulders. I still have vivid memories of that day in Trafalgar square, feeding the pigeons, watching the fountains. It was the most fun I’d ever had with my parents that I can still remember to this day.

I like to watch movies that are low-budgeted but still high on content; I’m talking about the independent movies, those movies that have no affiliation to any of the big studios. These movies do not have to bow to the will of the studio and the original vision of the artist is preserved instead of sacrificing it for it commercial gain. I stay away from the big tent pole pictures, like take for instance current hits like Transformers and the Twilight Saga, like the plague. The smaller movies may not be as big as these blockbusters but I’ve never left an art movie feeling as if I’d wasted my money even if I didn’t like it.

The best days of my life would have to be in high school. I was the captain of the school basketball team for one whole year before I left school for good. The year would go down as the year when people stopped caring for basketball in the school but it didn’t matter to me. I was captain of the school basketball team. The worst time I had would have to be when I had to readjust when college started. Everyone had gone their separate ways and having no friends can make it difficult to settle into a new place. It didn’t last too long though and I was back on my feet in little to no time.
