Looking Forward

by admin on Jan.27, 2011, under Uncategorized

2011 is looking positive, regardless of the terrible sorrow I’ve suffered in 2010. In June, I plan on proposing to my girlfriend of 4 years. In the year between my undergraduate program and my medical school acceptance, I worked as a trauma nurse in a local hospital, saving enough money to buy a small house in Chicago. In addition, I’ve already secured a job for myself with a prestigious hospital for when I graduate from medical school. And the most exciting thing in 2011 is the trip I’m taking during the summer. I plan on taking a trip to visit Japan to see the sights and catch up with old acquaintances from when I did a year abroad.

For me, 2010 has been a year of heartbreak and success, of disappointment and surprise, of darkest sorrow and brightest joy. The greatest part of 2010 was getting my acceptance letter into medical school. After having to take a year off after completing my undergraduate program due to not having the proper papers, I was desperate to get back into school and progress my rapidly stagnating lie. But as there are two sides to a coin, there can be no great joy without a great sorrow. 2010 was also the year where my uncle passed away. He battled a noble battle with heart cancer for a year before he succumbed to deaths embrace.

Generous Donations

If I had a million dollars to give to charity, I’d pick Child’s Play. The basic premise of Child’s Play is to raise money to afford toys and video games for sick children in the hospital. As a gamer myself, I can support any effort to bring the joys of video games into the heart of a sick child, I also know how good a game can feel when you’re alone in the hospital with the only company being the nurses and the hum of the IV machine and heart rate monitor. Child’s Play actually made my stay in the hospital during my asthma attacks more bearable, mainly because my parents at the time couldn’t afford video games for us, as they were struggling to make ends meet.

My ever loving friends

by admin on Jan.18, 2011, under Great Posts

Dogs are always my secret and intimate friends forever as they have done a lot to me. Once in my life I have faced a lot of difficulties of having lost my job and health. Even my wife has given up everything and she has lost hope in me, but my dogs have never given up the faith that they had as I was not able to feed them at that time. They were satisfied with the food that I gave and I never forgot to provide them dog collars which are still draping around their neck. Hence they were my ultimate friends till my life. I feel so excited when I see my dogs as If I were so happy on seeing my child. These friends are so kind to me and helped me so much in all sense.
