Is God a Rock?

At times I do feel that I need to get in touch with the universe, but not in a spiritual way. I do not believe that the universe has a “spirit” or “soul.” I do believe that it is beneficial to spend time in nature, but not beneficial to the universe. I think that for emotional and physical reasons, humans need to take time to be in nature and appreciate nature. Living is just being alive to me. You can live and not get in touch with nature. They are two completely different things. Earth is physical place, not a spiritual one.

If I could make a change in my community, it would be to improve education. I would assume the position of Mayor to try to create this change. I believe that education is one of the most important aspects of community because it improves the lives of children. I think that the education system in my community is unorganized and does not strive to help children reach their full potential. It also does not inspire teachers to help these children reach their full potential. I would make sure that teachers were trying to give children the best education possible.
Playing Pretty

My favorite game to play as a child was Pretty, Pretty Princess. I played it with my friends, cousins and sisters. I played this game the most when I was around the ages of 6 to 8. I liked playing it because I loved to dress up and to imagine that I was a princess. I think that every girl liked to imagine that they were princesses when they were that age. In this game you get to put on jewelry and when a player gets every piece to their set of jewelry, they win. My mom did not let me have very much jewelry then, so maybe that is another reason I liked this game.
Life-Changing Words

Reading a book as changed my life. I love to read, so I have had a lot of moments when a book has opened my eyes to a new point of view or idea. The first book that did this was Catcher in the Rye. I think this was such a life-changing book because I was about the same age as the character in the book. He is a teenager and is very lost and I think at that age, it’s very common to feel that way. Other books that have changed my life are East of Eden, Eat, Love, Pray, and 1984.
