Tomorrow Never Knows

I have worked in my current position for about 5 years, and gotten very close to the office team. My boss announced today that he has been diagnosed with a fatal disease and his remaining time may be very short. While I appreciate his honesty, I am trying very hard to deal with all of the emotional stress in the workplace. I know he does not want pity or sorrow, so we are all trying to pretend it is business as usual. I cannot imagine how he must be feeling. He has known about the disease for a few weeks, so I am certain he had to deal with his own demons before sharing with all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are for his full and quick recovery, we are hoping to be able to regain the wonderful team environment we have enjoyed.
